Imphal, March 03 2013 : Meira Paibis of the State were sensitised on different aspects of legal provisions during a one-day legal training programme organised by Human Rights Initiative at Lamyanba Shanglen today.
Imphal East District Sessions Judge M Manojkumar, Imphal East Chief Judicial Magistrate W Tonen Meitei and Human Rights Initiative Chairman Dr RK Ranjan Singh attended the programme.
Manipur State Legal Services Authority Member Secretary A Guneshwar Sharma spoke on the topic, ‘Basic procedure of Law Court’ while LMS Law College Lecturer Dr N Pramod Singh delivered lecture on the topic, ‘Role of police in criminal justice system’ .
LMS Law College Lecturer Ch Momon and HRI Executive Director W Joykumar also spoke at the programme on the topics, ‘Comsuners and property rights’ and ‘Non-violence and peaceful democratic people’s movement’ respectively.
