Imphal, March 02 2013 : The State Government has raised the retirement age of teachers of Govt Colleges and Polytechnic from 62 to 65 years with immediate effect.
After careful consideration of all UGC and AICTE guidelines regarding service condition and also with the approval of the State Cabinet in its sitting on Feb 28, it has been decided by the State Govt that the age of retirement of teachers who are involved in class-room teaching in respect of State Govt Colleges and Polytechnic on superannuation should be 65 years, said office memos of Dy Secy (DP) .
