Imphal, March 05 2013: With only Nongmeikappam Sovakiran filing nomination paper for the Manipur People’s Party presidentship, the interim president is set to formally become the new chief of the regional political organisation.
It is said that barring Sovakiran, no other individual submitted nomination paper for the MPP president election which was supposed to be held at the party’s general conference scheduled for March 14 .
With the deadline for submitting nomination papers ending this evening, Sovakiran becoming the 14th MPP president is now merely a formality.
