Imphal, June 06, 2013: Referring to the news item published under the heading “CRPF, Police personnel caught with drugs” on June 6, in which one of the apprehendee CT/GD Md Siraj Khan (33) s/o Md Abdul Manal of Lilong Haoreibi Chandrakhong was stated to be a member of CRPF, a press lease issued by DIG, GC CRPF Imphal Vimal Kumar Bisht clarified that Md Siraj Khan is no longer a member of CRPF as he was awarded punishment and dismissed from service with effect from May 8, 2012 in connection with illicit business of smuggling scheduled/banned drugs while he remained posted at GC CRPF, Langjing, Imphal.
