Imphal, July 01 2013: Advanced Specialist Hospital and Research Institute (ASHRI) has started functioning from today.
Located at Palace Compound, the 100-beded new private hospital is being run by United Doctors Limited Liability Partnership.
ASHRI Managing Director Dr Ibomcha Thouchom said that the hospital has a staff strength of 120 which include 30 specialist doctors and 70 nurses.
The hospital has treatment facilities of medicine, surgery, gynae, ortho, ENT, eye and dental etc, Dr Ibomcha said and added that specialist doctors would give treatment in endocrinology, cardiology, surgery, neuro-surgery, dermatology, diabetese counselling by fixing a particular timing.
Saying that 40 percent discount would be given to all the patients for a limited time, Dr Ibomcha said that the hospital would also provide 24-hour facility of SRL religare.
The Managing Director also expressed hope that the hospital would be able to provide quality medical facilities to poor people who can’t afford to go to other States for treatment.
He further said that OPD service would remain open from 6 am to 8 pm everyday.
Construction of the hospital was started in 2009 after acquiring permission from the Union Corporate Affairs.
Dr Ibomcha also said that the management of the hospital has also acquired necessary permissions from the State Government and Imphal Municipal Council.
Free OPD service was provided to patients today.
