Imphal, July 05 2013 : Association of Voluntary Blood Donors, Manipur and District AIDS Prevention & Control Unit, Bishnupur have jointly organised a one day motivational campaign on voluntary blood donation camp at Community Health Centre, Moirang today.
According to a press statement of AVBD, 55 ASHA and Health staffs participated during the campaign.
Dr W Purnima Devi, District AIDS Officer; Dr Laishram Raichandra Singh, MO in-charge CHC Moirang; Dr Ksh Umananda Singh, President AVBD, Bishnupur District Branch participated as facilitator cum campaigner during the campaign.
The campaign has been organised as a part of the World Voluntary Blood Donor Day 2013, under the slogan “Give the gift of life: donate blood”, and sponsored by Manipur AIDS Control Society, Imphal and State Blood Transfusion Council, Manipur, the statement added.
