Imphal, July 02 2013: Based on specific intelligence regarding presence of a KNLF cadre in general area Zawlzam village, on July 1 troops of Red Shield Division launched a swift operation and apprehended one KNLF cadre identified as Self Styled Section Commander Thangminlun Singson alias Lallun (26) s/o Lukhomang Singson of Gamgiphai village, Senapati district with one 9mm Pistol from Zawlzam village in Churachandpur district.
According to a PIB (DW) release, the apprehendee was involved in collecting extortion money on behalf of the outfit in Churachandpur town.
