Imphal, July 01 2013: CDO/IE has arrested one active member of KCP (MC) Laishram Nanao alias Rohit (24) S/o (L) L Ranjit Singh of Top Moirangkampu on June 29 last at about 00.30 am.
According to a press release issued by SP/IE, L Nanao works under the command of S/S Commander Yambung alias Khoirangba of Nambol.
He along with his accomplice Somendro of Takyel Khongban extorted in the name of drives at restaurants, fast food hotels etc at Langol area under the behest of Yambung who gave a pistol to them for the activities.
The 9mm pistol with one magazine fitted with two live rounds was recovered from beneath his pillow.
On further verification of Nanao, his accomplices Wahengbam Somendro alias Bobby (33) S/o W Ibomcha of Takyel Khongban and Amom Aken alias Germany (23) S/o A Bhubon of Takyel Makha Leikai were arrested from their respective homes, the release added.
