The legendary Indian lyricist,
musician, singer, poet and film-maker Dr. Bhupen Hazarika who weaved magic out
of traditional Assamese music is missed by all. In remembrance of the legend on
his 86th birth anniversary, the country today celebrated Bhupendra diwas for
the first time.
The world pays homage to the great
cultural icon who brought worldwide recognition to assamese music and swayed
millions with the power of his voice.
