Imphal, February 25 2014 : Former MP Mani Charenamei, whose interview was carried by this paper on Feb 24 edition under the headline ‘Former MP bats for common platform of all’ today clarified that he was misquoted.
The report which quoted him as saying thus, “all the activities and agenda of UNC are rooted in a single issue” and “…the UNC seems more interested in the NPF,” are misquoted by the press, former MP Mani Charenamei said.
“What I actually stated during the interview were ‘besides the issues of UNC there are many other issues confronting the State’ and ‘it seems the UNC has not taken any decision so far in connection with the Parliamentary election,” the former MP clarified.
