Imphal, February 21 2015 : 2 Assam Rifles of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) distributed street solar lights to villagers of Tentha, Thoubal district today.
The street solar lights were handed over to the village chairman of Tentha village by the Commandant, 2 Assam Rifles, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR (S).
He asserted that the Assam Rifles is committed towards the overall development of the region and will make all endeavour to address the remote areas.
He further exhorted the villagers to continue co-operating with the security forces so as to bring peace in the region.
The villagers also expressed their profound gratitude towards the Assam Rifles for this kind gesture, it added.
