Imphal, February 21 2015 : Directorate of Extension Education, CAU Imphal organised a one day awareness cum training programme on agriculture and allied activities and distribution of chicks at Nongbram in Imphal East.
President of Nongbram Ngamukhong Farmers’ Club, Th Ibotombi Singh; subject experts of KVK Imphal East Dr Th Robindro Singh and Dr Th Sushilkumar Singh attended the programme as the guests of honour, according to a statement.
Dr Th Sushilkumar spoke on poultry farming for income generation.
He also sensitised the farmers about the new breeds of chicken Giriraja and Girirani.
Dr Th Robindro spoke on mushroom cultivation.
About 80 farmers took part in the programme.
Giriraja and Girirani breeds of chicks were distributed to the farmers.
