AAP removes Bhushan from its disciplinary committee, appoints new Lokpals
New Delhi: After the high drama ouster of Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from the Aam Aadmi Party National Executive on Saturday, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party on Sunday removed Bhushan from the party’s disciplinary committee.
After a meeting at party chief’s residence, party leader Pankaj Gupta said, “Disciplinary committee has been reconstituted, it has three members, Dinesh, Ashish Khetan and Pankaj Gupta.”
The party also reconstituted its Lokpal committee putting an end to the speculations over its stand on Admiral Ramdas who was till now party’s internal Lokpal. “We have appointed three member in Lokpal Dilip Kumar, Rakesh Sinha and Dr SP Verma,” said Gupta.
The Arvind Kejriwal-led party on Sunday removed Bhushan from the party’s disciplinary committee.
“The National Council has authorised the PAC to take disciplinary action against any member who, without authorisation, issues media statement against party line and decisions in a bid to tarnish the party’s image,” the party said in a statement.
