TR Zeliang’s message warms ANSAM conference

Ukhrul, March 31 2015 : The second day of the 11th ANSAM general conference was marked by the unveiling of a monolith by local MLA Samuel Risom today at Wino Bazar, near TNL ground, Ukhrul district.


The conference flag was hoisted by MLA ST Victor Nunghlung.


MLA Samuel Risom unveiled the monolith on behalf of Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang who was to attend the conference as the chief guest.


However, the Nagaland Chief Minister did not fail to reach out to the gatherers.


In his message, read out by MLA Samuel Risom, TR Zeliang extended warm greetings to all the delegates and said that the Naga political issue is “not the prerogative of any individual or organization” but a concern of all the Nagas.


TR Zeliang appealed to all the Naga citizens, Naga organizations and civil societies to unite and fight for the common cause of Naga and work collectively for a peaceful resolution.

In his message, the Nagaland Chief Minister also addressed the educated and talented youth on the need to generate self-employment and venture into entrepreneurial careers instead of seeking white collar jobs.


TNL president Weapon Zimik, former UNC president Adani and Naga civil society leaders also attended at the inaugural session apart from 400 delegates from 16 tribes of Manipur including delegates from two subordinate units of ANSAM.
