Imphal, April 07 2013 : All Manipur Working Journalists’ Union (AMWJU) has condemned the incident in which the doctors in a hospital at Tripura beat up reporters who have gone to collect report in connection with death of a woman today.
In the incident, one Photo Journalist identified as Ramakanta Dey sustained serious injuries.
Denouncing the conduct of the doctors as unfortunate, an AMWJU statement observed such conduct of doctors may not be seen in any part of the world.
In protest against the incident, Tripura Working Journalists’ Association, Tripura Press Club and Tripura Photo Journalists’ Association jointly organised sit-in demonstration for 6 hours at RMX, Paomahuli.
