Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan’s fate in AAP to be sealed at National Executive meet today

Yogendra Yadav, Prashant Bhushan’s fate in AAP to be sealed at National Executive meet today

New Delhi: Less than a month after the celebrations, the Aam Aadmi Party seems to be in disarray. Senior leaders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav have raised the red flag against party chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s continuance as the national convener of the party. They have also cited a lack of internal democracy within the party.

Amidst the growing dissent, the party will be holding a crucial National executive meeting on Wednesday. After initially refusing to be a part of the meet, Yadav and Bhushan later agreed to attend but the Delhi CM will be giving it a miss citing ill health and prior commitments as a reason.

Just a day ahead of the meet, senior AAP leaders on Tuesday met him at the Delhi secretariat to discuss the course of action. Sources said AAP’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta, Delhi unit convenor and secretary Dilip Pandey and other party leaders were also present at the meeting.

After initially refusing, Yadav and Bhushan will be attending the meet but Kejriwal is likely to give it a miss citing ill health and prior commitments as a reason.

They said that there was a discussion about the meeting where a proposal will be mooted to remove Yadav and Bhushan from the PAC.
