Imphal, December 24, 2013: The Imphal Book Fair held at Hapta Kangjeibung since December 16 concluded today.
Out of about 40 stalls opened at the Fair, six were Delhi-based firms, four from Guwahati, two Kolkata-based publishing houses and one from Silchar.
Speaking to some distributors were of the view that inspite of healthy number of visitors actual buyers were comparatively fewer than previous events thus resulting in ordinary sale proceeds.
On the otherhand, some student visitors noting enthusiasm of the stall runners/distributors suggested that Fair organisers not only strive to make the event an annual affair but also hold it in a more grandeur manner.
