Imphal, December 21, 2013: The Manipur Naga People’s Front (MNPF) has claimed responsibility for the bomb attack of December 20 at the residence of NSCN-IM town commander Newmai Liangmei at Bulen Colony, Senapati district.
A press release issued by the outfit’s assistant publicity secretary Thomas Numai charged NSCN-IM of consistently projecting UG groups struggling for Nagas as anti-Naga.
It further accused NSCN-IM of killing many innocent people in Senapati district this year including James Mao (NSCN-K) and Kenedy Paomei (FGN).
MNPF planted the bomb to give the message that it is only the Nagas who stand to lose because of internal conflicts and clashes.
Saying that MNPF does not have the courage to kill innocent people like NSCN-IM, it asked NSCN-IM to stop killing and harassing innocent civilians.
MNPF would always stand firm against the anti-people activities of NSCN-IM, it asserted.
