Imphal, April 11 2015 : The 165th death anniversary of Maharaja Narasingh was ob-served today at the royal cremation site at Kangla.
The death anniversary programme was organised by the Manipur State Archaeology, Depart-ment of Art and Culture.
K Radhakumar Singh, Secretary (Art and Culture), Govt of Manipur attended the function as the chief guest.
Padmashree awardee and eminent scholar RK Jhalajit also attended the death anniversary observance .

The dignitaries led the ga-thering in offering floral tri- butes at the tomb of the late king.
Guard of Honour, gun salute, reverse arms, sounding of last post, observance of two minutes silence, slope arms and order arms were performed by a contingent of 1st Manipur Rifles in honour of the late king of Manipur.
Meanwhile, deferential respect was also paid to San- kirtan upholding the deep association between the unique art form and the religion the late king embraced.
