New Delhi: India should heap international calumny and embarassment on Pakistan in the wake of release of top Lashkar leader Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Congress said on Friday.

“It is an excellent opportunity for India to raise this issue by embarrassing Pakistan at every fora. Sulking quietly does not help the first thing is to heap international calumny and embarrassment on Pakistan”, party spokesman Abhishek Singhvi said.

He said after the Mumbai attacks in 2008, it was felt at that time that the most isolated country in the world was Pakistan.

India should heap international calumny and embarassment on Pakistan in the wake of release of top Lashkar leader Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi, the mastermind of the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack, Congress said on Friday.

“I would like some of that policy to come back. We are not critical of the government we are exhorting the government to take steps which we took in November, 2008″, he said.

Pakistan, he said, should also realise that they are raising a “Frankenstein monster”, because of which they are in this kind of state.

Singhvi said that it reflected poorly on Pakistan that its judicial system is not that powerful even to keep a UN,US& internationally recognized terrorist, behind the bars.

“Threat perception against India rises with Rehman Lakhvi’s release.
