Acknowledging the contribution of the late writer in narrating the ancient history of Manipur to the outside world, Khelmani highlighted the need for scholars to do research works and document the life story and exploits of Saroj Nalini.

He further hailed the late scholar as a successful daughter of the soil.

Referring to Saroj Nalini’s another well known book “Empress Vs Tikendrajit: Anglo-Manipur Conflict of 1891″, Soubam Tomba Luwang remarked that the late scholar’s contribution is no mean achievement in spite of being a woman and an NRI.

What Saroj Nalini did is a matter of pride for all the Manipuris, he asserted.
