Imphal, January 24 2014 : Wlcoming and reciprocating to the Ministry of Home Affairs’ intimation for holding the 7th round of the tripartite talk at political level at Senapati on February 6, the presidential council of UNC and aga frontal organisations held an emergency meeting today and decided to put in abeyance all the scheduled civil action protest movements.
The scheduled civil action protest movements would be suspended till the completion of the next round of talk when appropriate positions would be decided depending on the outcome of the talk, conveyed a press release issued by UNC.
While acknowledging cooperation of the general public towards the successful observation of the dawn to dusk total shut down called on January 23 in Naga areas, the council meeting also appealed to the Naga people for their prayer and support for the success of the upcoming talk, it added.
