Ukhrul, January 09 2014: A violent confrontation occurred be-tween villagers of Khangkhui Khunou and Khangkhui Khullen, Ukhrul district over a dispute arising out of re-alignment of road construction under Phase VI of PMGSY.
No serious injury has been reported as the villages elders intervened.
Sources said that the confrontation occurred when villagers of Khangkhui Khu-llen dismantled the bailey bridge constructed on the tri-butary of Thoubal river on Jan 7 .
