One person was arrested by the Namchi police under the Sikkim Anti Drugs Act. Pravesh Chettri, 28 year old resident of Chisopani was found with 8 tablets of N10. He had been brought into the thana on 6 January and he insisted that he be searched before a magistrate. He was then searched before the DC South and the contraband substances found in his pockets. He had been put in custody.
4 persons were arrested by the Rangpo police on charges of peddling contraband substances and booked under SAD Act. On 6 January the police was tipped off that 4 youth were selling such substances at an alley at Lall Bazar and soon a police team rushed to the spot and apprehended the culprits. They were rounded up and later a search revealed them to be in possession of 346 tablets of Spasmo proxyvon and 9 tablets of N10.
