Imphal, September 21 2013 : Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, Sekmai Bottling Plant held a free Health Checkup Camp and detection of Cataract patient at Awang Sekmai Nongthonban Youth Club Hall, Sekmai today from 8.30 am to 3.30 pm.
The initiative was taken under IOCL’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative.
The identified cataract patients will undergo cataract operation at Shija Hospitals with the sponsorship of IOCL.
During the course of the camp LPG Hazards and Mitigating measures available at Sekmai LPG BP were explained to the public.
BC Das, Senior Plant Manager has explained that LPG Storage and Pipeline are designed to avoid leakage of LPG.
It was reported that LPG BP is fully automated as per Oil Industries Safety Directorate guidelines and total 19 Nos Gas Detectors installed for monitoring concentration of LPG gas in the plant.
