Imphal, September 12 2013: One VDF personnel has been killed while two others escaped with injuries when their motorcycle collided with a Maruti van at Khongkhang along Imphal-Moreh road at around 11.30 am today.
The VDF personnel were going to Pallel from Moreh to encash their salaries at Pallel SBI bank when the fatal mishap took place, informed a police source.
Thangminlien Baite (23) s/o Lethang of Tengnoupal was killed in the accident.
He was a VDF personnel attached to Moreh police station.
Seiminthang Baite (23) of Moreh sustained critical injuries and he has been brought to Shija Hospital.
Thang-minlien Haokip of Moreh Ward No 7 too sustained injuries.
The duo was posted together with Thangminlien Baite.
The driver of the van also sustained injuries, added the source.
