Imphal, October 04 2013 : On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, cleanliness drive was conducted at Sajiwa Jail as well as Manipur Central Jail.
Cleaning the jail complex and tree plantation marked the drive at Sajiwa jail while in Manipur Central Jail, the whole stretch of road from Governor crossing to 1 MR Gate was cleaned.
Three truckloads of garbages were removed from the Old Lambulane area.
About 360 personnel comprising of Jail personnel, one coy each from 3 and 4 IRB, police commandos, MR personnel and VDFs posted at the jail took part in the cleanliness drive.
