Thoubal, October 03 2013: To strengthen the existing network of Youth Clubs with representation from all sections of the society the Nehru Yuva Kendra Thoubal organised Youth Club Development Programme at Social Development Club, Tokpaching village of Arong Nongmaikhong G/P area.
Salam Mani Singh, member, Arong Nongmaikhong GP; Ch Basanta Singh, DPO, NYK Thoubal and Md Riyas Sheikh, District Community Mobilizer, NRHM Thoubal attended the programme as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Ch Basanta Singh introduced the programmes and activities of NYK and also discussed about the coordination programme with other Government Departments/Agencies in the district for the growth and development of the youth club and enable the youths to participate in community development activities.
Suggestions for empowerment of the women, their participation in youth club activities and developing a cordial relationship with NYK were made in the meeting.
