Temi Tea launches new products

GANGTOK, 03 Oct: The Secretary Commerce and Industries, PT Euthenpa launched and released the new packets of Temi Tea at his office today.

As per a press release, launching the new tea packets, the Secretary said that the new product is of good quality with an attractive packaging and affordable price. He informed that the State Temi Tea Garden have been successful in getting organic certification which is a historic achievement for the government. He also informed that Temi Orthodox Tea has got the permission for exporting and will now export its product throughout the world.

The Secretary further informed that the state’s famous tea garden was established in 1969 and has since been continuously producing good quality tea. At present the Temi Tea Garden is producing organic tea in a total area of 177.64 Hectare of land, he said. It was further informed that the Temi Tea Estate is also distributing organic tea seedlings to tea growers, the release mentions.

The General Manager, Temi Tea Estate, Ravikumar M informed that five new packets have been launched today giving the product an attractive and new look along with better quality. He also informed that the packaging uses pine wood caddy in 200gms and 100gms. Cheaper compared to other business firms, he informed that these caddies are mainly designed for premium grade tea. The new products are Temi Tea Royal, Temi Tea Magic and Temi Tea Super fine and low priced tea bags.

The launch was also attended by the Director Commerce Industry, LP Barfungpa, Manager Temi Tea Estate, Officers of Industry Department and representative from Himalayan Chia Bari.
