Imphal, October 07 2013 : Elite Foundation, Manipur today staged a sit-in-protest at Keishamthong Bazar against reported loss of State’s land to Myanmar in border fencing.
Elite Foundation Manipur Secretary Akoijam Sushil-kumar said that the State Government has not spelt out anything concrete regarding the ongoing border fencing works.
Sushilkumar further said that Elite Foundation would pledge support to any agitation initiated by the Commi- ttee on Protection of Land regarding border fencing.
Meanwhile, womenfolk of Sega Road Thouda Bhabok Leikai enforced bandh called by the committee today.
They disrupted traffic movement along Tiddim Road for some time.
