Lamka, February 27 2013: The Kom Students’ Union Manipur (KSUM) has rejected outright the existence of Komrem Students’ Union (KRSU) within the Kom tribe.
Reiterating its earlier statement, KSUM said Komrem is a conglomerate of six tribes which now have their own students union.
It also pointed out that Kom is a recognised tribe whereas Komrem is not.
The Kom Students Union Manipur also said that Kom Union is the only apex body of the Kom community while poking the KRSU of interfering in the internal matter of the Kom community.
