Imphal, February 26 2013: The proscribed RPF has claimed responsibility for the bomb blast in which a personnel of 1/11 GR was killed while three others were injured today.
The attack was carried out by a special warfare team of the PLA in between S Kotlen and Bangla villages of Churachandpur district at about 7 am today.
The bomb attack which targeted a foot patrolling team of 1/11 GR left three other personnel injured, said a press release issued by the outfit’s Department of Publicity Chief Bangkim.
The offensive was a part of the PLA’s relentless campaign to drive out all Indian military personnel from the soil of Manipur and liberate the land.
Earlier on February 21, PLA’s tactical command attacked the camp of 24th AR located near Saibol village in Chandel district at about 9 pm.
Even as the Assam Rifles suffered casualties, their authorities, as usual, did not make the casualties public, it alleged.
