Imphal, February 22 2013: A sizeable quantity of gold and cash have been looted by some undidentified persons from the house of Arun Enterprises proprietor Thangjam Arun last night.
According to Arun, three unidentified persons barged into his house at Ching-meirong the very moment the lights went off at 10 pm as per the load shedding schedule.
The unidentified persons took Arun’s wife Thangjam (O) Purnimashi at gun point and forced her to open their Godrej.
The armed persons took away gold worth around Rs 27 lakhs and Rs 45,000 in cash.
After a complaint was lodged in connection with the robbery, Lamphel police have registered an FIR case.
