Imphal, February 01 2013: The proscribed outfit United People’s Party of Kangleipak (UPPK) has been expelled from Coordination Committee (CorCom) .
CorCom was formed jointly by KCP, KYKL, PREPAK, PREPAK (Pro), RPF, UNLF and now the excluded UPPK.
Announcing expulsion of UPPK, Media Coordinator of CorCom H Poirei informed that the decision was taken during joint meetings of the leaders of the different UG organisations including UPPK on January 28 and 31.The meeting reaffirmed the earlier decision taken in the meeting held from December 19 to 29 last year to expel UPPK from CorCom.
Accordingly, it was resolved to exclude UPPK from the Co-ordination Committee completely.
Citing reasons for the expulsion, H Poirei further informed that Advisor of UPPK Meisnam Biren alias Chamba of Sagolband Meino Leirak, Chairman Bonbihari alias Laangamba of Thangmeiband, External Affairs Secretary Lousangbam Kritibabu Mangang alias Uraaba of Kwakeithel Moirangpurel and Assistant Publicity Secretary Laishram Ranjit alias Khuman of Mayang Imphal left CorCom without giving any information.
Moreover, after the suspicious arrest of its General Secretary Ningthoujam Santi alias Chinglemba Mangang of Waheng Leikai, Finance Secretary Langpoklakpam Inaocha alias Birjit of Konjeng Leikai and Organisation Secretary Konthoujam Homeshwar alias Chingkhei following internal disorientation has made UPPK unfit to remain as a member of CorCom.
Furthermore, nexus maintained by UPPK leaders with agents of India government is against the resolution no, 049 of CorCom, the statement added.
