Imphal, March 23 2013 : A jawan of Ist Assam Rifles sustained injuries when he accidentally pulled the trigger of his service rifle at his unit location at Chandel.
The incident occurred around noon today.
The injured jawan identified as Havildar Arjun Tamang was provided first aid at the unit hospital before being evacuated to the Army Hospital at Leimakhong, where the condition of the injured jawan is stated to be stable.
