Imphal, March 25, 2013: ‘Ougri 13,’ a Techfest was kick-started today at the campus of National Institute of Technology, Manipur, Takyelpat.
Amongst others, Kh Rajchandra Singh, Controller of Technical Education & SCERT and Prof PK Bose, Director of NIT Manipur graced the inaugural function of the Techfest today.
The highlights of the three-day festival included various competitions such as LAN gaming, sketching, solo dance, 5-men soccer, photography, etc.
A mini concert, DJ night and a treasure hunt would be another highpoints of the three-day affairs.
Speaking at the occasion, Kh Rajchandra said organising such festival would create awareness of the indigenous cultures to students who are coming from outside the State.
It would also improve the physical health of the students.
