Imphal, March 20 2013: Non-Judicial stamps which are supposed to be sold at Kakching, Moirang, Bishnupur and Kumbi revenue circles are being sold at higher rates at some pan shops near Uripok Cheirap Court complex.
It came to light after Treasury Department investigated the matter following complaints from some sections of the general public.
The Non-Judicial stamps are to be sold by a few selected vendors authorised by DC and Revenue Department after acquiring the same from the Treasury Department.
Non-Judicial stamps which cost Rs 10 are being sold at Rs 50 at the pan shops near Uripok Cheirap Court complex.
