Imphal, March 13 2013: The Manipur State Kala Akademi condoled the demise of noted artist of Manipur Shumang Leela and MSKA Awardee in shumang leela, Laipubam Modhumongol Sharma, who passed away on March 4 last.
Employees of the MSKA observed a two-minute silence during a condolence meeting chaired by secretary of the Akademi, said a statement.
Meanwhile, the Manipur People’s Party (MPP) has condoled the demise of former general secretary (Adm) of Kumbi Kendra MPP, Khangembam Nara Singh, of Kumbi Uchanamkhong Leikai, who passed away on March 8.A condolence meeting of the party convened yesterday observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, informed a statement while also praying for the departed soul to rest in peace.
The party also shared the grief of the bereaved family.
