Imphal, May 20 2013: To become an IPS officer and wage a crusade against corruption is the aspiration of Ratimanjuri Devi Hajarimayum who secured the third position in the HSLC Exam 2013 conducted by BSEM.
“It was because of blessing by the Almighty that I could secure the third position in the merit list”, Ratimanjuri said.
Ritamanjuri who studied in Nirmalabas School from class I to X is the elder of two siblings born to H Rajesh Sharma and GA Mirabai Devi.
She scored 92 in MIL, 92 in English, 99 in Mathematics, 99 in Science and 96 in Social Science.
On being asked if she was surprised on securing third position, Ritamanjuri said that she was confident of securing one of the top three positions.

She said that she was very happy and contented with her rank.
She always secured first, second or third rank in her school exams.
Her father Rajesh is a part-time lecturer of Botany in Oriental College.
Her mother Mirabai is a housewife even though she is a Graduate in Education.
Observing that the level of corruption in very sphere of the society is very high, Ritamanjuri confided that she would like to redress this social malady in the capacity of an IPS officer.
She further stated that she would like to study in Manipur up to class XII before she goes for further studies in general line.
It was disheartening to many students who were preparing hard for Board exam when some fellow students started rumouring that questions had been leaked.
Ratimanjuri said that she used to read three to four hours a day when she was attending school.
But her daily reading schedule was increased to 10 hours a day at the time of examination.
She conceded that disruptive activities like bandhs, blockades and general strikes posed serious hindrance to her study.
