Civil services on 2nd topper’s top choice of list

Imphal, May 20 2013: Fight crimes against women and children in the capacity of an IAS officer is the aim of Keisham Luxmirani who secured second position in the merit list of HSLC Exam 2013 conducted by BSEM.


Luxmirani is the second youngest of five siblings born to Keisham Rojenkumar and Keisham (O) Sarda Devi of Haobam Marak Keisham Leikai.


She is a student of Little Flower School.


She scored 93 in MIL, 98 in English, 96 in Mathematics, 96 in Science and 96 in Social Science.


Both her mother and father are actively engaged in electoral politics.


Luxmirani studied in Little Flower School from Class II to Class X.She studied for eight hours in day and her study time was increased to 10 hours as the Board exam approached.

Saying that students did not get the opportunity to consult their teachers in school every time when they did not know something or had some doubts, Luxmirani said that private tuition has become an essential part of education in Manipur.


She said that she was perturbed by the ever rising cases of crime against women.


Luxmirani said that she would first study medical science before going for civil service through competitive exam.
