Imphal, May 26 2013: The United Revolutionary Front (URF) Manipur has congratulated the mountaineers of Manipur who have successfully scaled Mount Everest recently.
In a press release issued its information and publicity se-cretary AK Pibarel, the outfit remarked that it was a glorious moment for sports-loving people of Manipur that five mountaineers namely N Bidyapati Chanu, N Chingkheinganba, P Mohon, Ch Shankar and Ph Bidyachand summitted Mt Everest during the recent 1st North East Mt Everest Expedition.
The amazing feat of the five mountaineers have testified that the efforts of Manipur Mountaineering and Trekking Association (MMTA) have paid rich dividends, said the outfit while acknowledging the contributions and achievements of MMTA.
