Imphal, June 17 2013: In order to ensure smooth traffic regulation, SP Imphal West District has made some arrangements for the commuters on June 18 .

On the other hand, volunteers joined hands in sprucing up Kekrupat where homage would be paid to the martyrs of June 18 .

A statement of the SP said, for diversion and parking areas for normal vehicles/passenger buses/other commercial vehicle; all employees of offices/schools located within the sensitized area shall be allowed to cross the cut-points after confirming their identity.

All are requested to carry their respective valid identity cards.

The vehicles coming from Thoubal side shall be diverted from Singjamei Bazar towards Kongba road and Wangkhei side via Singjamei bridge and park near Palace Compound ground.

The vehicles coming from Mayang Imphal, Tiddim, Sagolband, Uripok Kangchup road, Sekmai, Pangei, Ukhrul and Sawombung, Tinsid Road and Yairipok shall also follow certain arrangements, it added.

Sprucing up Kekrupat for June 18

The statement added that, people coming to Kekrupat shall be allowed only from Minuthong and Khuman Lampak side.

No one except earmarked vehicles shall be allowed to come to Kekrupat via Keisampat Sanjenthong.

At Singjamei Traffic Point, all heavy vehicles shall be diverted towards Singjamei Bridge and all light/medium vehicles shall be diverted towards Loklaobung Bridge and reach New Checkon road via Thangmeiband and Palace Compound road.

One-way traffic system shall be enforced along the Loklaobung Bridge.

Vehicles shall be allowed to ply only from west to east i.e.from NH-2 towards Thangapat, the statement informed.

The vehicles for the 18 victims shall be allowed to go across Khoyathong LIC crossing towards North AOC, the dropping area will be North AOC Traffic junction and parking area is in front of RK Sanatombi School, North AOC, it informed and also laid out certain dropping and parking areas of other vehicles.
