Ukhrul, June 28 2013 : The Tangkhul Naga Long (Apex Body) assembly today accepted the resignation of all Legislative Heads and assembly affairs including its President, Solomon Ningshen; Vice President, N Tuikhar; Assembly Speaker, Shangam A’ Shipo, and caretaker President Ramthing Hungyo from their respective posts.
The Sessional secretary of TNL, Ringo told media persons that the body was dissolved due to contradiction and confusion in the constitution of the TNL.
The dissolution would pave way for review/amendment of the constitution at the earliest, he said.
Meanwhile, the assembly today elected Yarthotthing Kashung as the caretaker of TNL and all the chairmen of four zones of Tangkhul area as committee members for running the office for a period of three months.
Fresh election would be held within three months, he added.
