Imphal, June 30 2013: The Association of Premier State College Senior (APSCS) has welcomed the State Government’s initiative of extending the revised pension to the pre-2006 pensioners who retired as Readers/Lecturers (SG) .
It is gratifying that the Directorate of University and Higher Education have taken up the task of processing identification of pensioners/family pensioners and calculation of the financial involvement for submission in details to the Higher Authority within a short time.
The APSCS, through a press release issued by its general secretary Dr AK Chishti, also acknowledged the concern shown by Education Minister M Okendro towards the retired college teachers.
