Imphal, June 01 2013 : Aimed at infusing more vitality to the Department of North East Region (Doner) a special meeting was convened today wherein Chief Secretaries of the North Eastern States presented their respective viewpoints/suggestions to the Parlia-mentary Standing Committee.
It is said that the Committee with MP Venkaiah Naidu as the chairman solicited proposals of the Chief Secretaries to strengthen the Doner mechanism.
In addition to unanimous proposals for vibrancy in the functioning and disposal of the Doner Ministry, the chief Secretaries reportedly highlighted procedural hindrances in accessing NLCPR funds.
