Imphal, June 20 2013: Expressing shock over the cancellation of CET 2013, the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) has urged the Government to review the Cabinet decision and announce a fresh schedule for CET exam in the larger interest of the aspirants and the public.
A statement issued by Vareiyo Shatsang said the Cabinet’s approval to adopt the merit list of NEET-UG conducted by CBSE without giving prior information/notice to the aspiring candidates was tantamount to causing moral set back to many aspirants.
If at all the Govt of Manipur is to follow NEET, notification for CET should not have been issued, ATSUM said while urging the Govt to review the decision and conduct the exam in the interest of the aspirants in particular and public in general.
