Lamka, June 24 2013: The CDSU has today claimed that ATSUM is the only legitimate student union for the entire tribal people in Manipur while pledging its loyalty to the former as one of the five ‘legitimate’ constituent units.
The CDSU once again pledges its support to the incumbent office-bearers of ATSUM.
However, CDSU said that it is pathetic to note that some unscrupulous self-style student leaders are bent on derailing the smooth functioning of ATSUM while condemning those it identified as unscrupulous self-styled students and warns them to desist from meddling in the affairs of ATSUM.
The students’ body said that it neither approved nor recognized the so-called ATSUM interim-body.
‘The so-called ATSUM interim-body is illegitimate as it absolutely fails to garner the support and cooperation of various student organizations’ .
