Imphal, June 29 2013 : The 87th birth anniversary of Manipuri writer Hijam Guno was celebrated at Manipur Press Club today.
Manipuri Sahitya Parishad president Prof Elangbam Dinamani, social activist Dr Dhanabir Laishram, DM College of Arts Associate Prof Dr Ibohanbi and Sahitya Akademi awardee Sarat Chand Thiyam attended the function organised by Hijam Guno Foundation.
Hijam Guno’s ‘Edi Chingda Satpini’ and a book written by H Sadananda entitled, ‘Hijam Guno Gi Khut Ee amasung Ngashigi Manipur’ were released in today’s function.
Elangbam Dinamani while speaking at the fucntion said that Guno’s write-ups would remain as masterpiece for generations.
