Ukhrul, June 27 2013: Job card holders under MGNREGS of Ukhrul district have registered various complains regarding the implementation of the Government flagship programme, MGNREGS.
Highlighting their grievances relating to implementation of MGNREGS in the district, the All Localities Association of Ukhrul Headquarters said job card holders are denied 100 days work since 2010.Non-revision of the State approval of 2009 non issue of fresh/additional job cards since 2010 are the grievances raised by the Association.
The association also strongly denounced the Cabinet decision for routing MGNREGS fund through Manipur State Rural Development Society.
Representatives of the association said that the Cabinet decision is nothing but a steady attempt to swallow the income of the poor by the rich.
Pledging to oppose the Cabinet decision, the association demanded that the status quo fund transfer mode�Centre to District Programme Coordinator, should remain intact.
