Imphal, June 27 2013: The 133rd birth anniversary of Helen Adams Keller was observed today at Khoyathong High School under the aegis of Zonal Education Officer DPO (SSA), Imphal West during which differently abled students who scored outstanding marks in this year’s BSEM and COHSEM exams were felicitated.
As a part of the function, a video album titled Meeni Eikhoishu produced by IED Cell and collated by the Relief Centre for the Welfare of Differently Able Persons, Manipur was released.
A memorial lecture on Helen Keller was another feature of the function where social activist Dr Dhanabir Laishram presented a lecture.
Differently able students who were felicitated at the function for scoring outstanding marks in the class X exam conducted by BSEM were N Ibecha of Wangkhei, Ningthoujam Amuthoi of Phayeng and Hemolata of Khurkhul.
Class XII students were felicitated at the same function were Pemmichon Ng of Dewlalane, H Amin Saha of Paobitek Mamang Leikai, K Ranjana of Nambol and O Kabita of Moirang Hemam Leikai.
All of them are visually impaired.
